NMDP is a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy. With our partners, we drive groundbreaking research, treatment and support to cure blood cancer, blood disorders and beyond. Over the decades, we’ve been known by a few names, like Be The Match or the National Marrow Donor Program. But we have always operated with a single purpose: to save lives.
Our new name, NMDP, acknowledges our evolution from our original name of the National Marrow Donor Program. Our impact has become global, we focus on cell therapies, in addition to marrow, which stand to save many more lives. Our programs are many, including research, advocacy and clinical excellence where NMDP is truly a global leader. In fact, our research and many resulting therapy breakthroughs, as well as our extensive global network of collection and transplant centers, are already known by the NMDP name.
By uniting our work together under this single name of NMDP, we’re now able to help patients see the full breadth of credentialed care they’re being provided by NMDP.
We are excited to share our efforts to accelerate progress, deliver world-class service and tackle the tough problems—from equity disparities to quality of life for patients. Together, we can advance the cell therapy ecosystem and expand access to these lifesaving therapies.
