Overview of the NMDP Lighthouse Hotline

Management is committed to conducting our business in an ethical manner. If at any time you wish to raise a concern or complaint relating to financial statement disclosures, accounting or auditing matters, breaches of confidentiality, or other violations of law or the NMDP’s Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, we encourage you to use the NMDP Lighthouse Hotline to let us know. In addition, we want to assure you that there will never be any retaliation against any individual for responsibly reporting a concern.

 

The NMDP Lighthouse Hotline is available 24 hours a day and is the organization’s preferred method for individuals to report such concerns.

 

 

What’s most important to know about the NMDP Lighthouse Hotline is that, if you prefer, you can have the concerns you communicate over this system be completely confidential and anonymous. That’s because an independent company, Lighthouse Services, LLC (Lighthouse), operates the program and, if a caller does not identify him/herself, there’s no way for anyone at NMDP to identify who called and left a message. In addition, Lighthouse removes email addresses and names from concerns submitted by email unless you indicate that you wish to be identified. The NMDP Lighthouse Hotline supplements our organization’s Whistleblower Policy. [AC1]

 

Investigations from case reports received from Lighthouse are conducted in a manner intended to treat every individual involved with respect and confidentiality, whether the person submitting the compliant or the subject of the complaint. All communication about the case report is handled through Lighthouse. Individuals have a choice to remain anonymous or to identify themselves during these communications to facilitate the investigation. The organization strictly prohibits any retaliation against any individual for reporting a concern in good faith.
