About the center
Overview
Children's Hospital of Michigan has been transplanting pediatric patients with the Karmanos Cancer Center since 1987. In June 2007, pediatric inpatient services were moved to CHM's inpatient BMT unit. We offer autologous and allogeneic transplants, including cord blood and haploidentical transplants.
This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 2007 and has been an NMDP/Be The Match transplant center since September 2007.

Children's Hospital of Michigan is pleased to have a newly renovated Ronald McDonald House within a half mile of the hospital. Area hotels have also partnered with the hospital to offer discounts. As a comprehensive children's hospital, we offer multiple services such as child life specialists, art therapy, and school programs.
