For a toddler, life is usually carefree, full of non-stop play and endless discovery. However, Ruby’s childhood consists of hospital stays as she battles sickle cell disease.
In the last three years, Ruby was admitted to the hospital 27 times and had 4 surgeries. She faced sepsis, pneumonia and issues with her spleen. Finally, she was referred for transplant by her doctors. Her parents are hoping to find the best match possible to treat her disease.
