Make sure you tune in July 19-23, when Robin Roberts, co-anchor of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” steps behind the podium to guest host on “Jeopardy!”. A donation matching the cumulative total of all the contestants’ winnings that week will be made to the charity of Robin’s choice—Be The Match.
In June 2007, Robin was diagnosed with breast cancer and five years later, she was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). She underwent a bone marrow transplant, and her sister, Sally-Ann, was her donor, but most patients don’t have matching donors within their families.
That’s why the Be The Match mission is so vital. We connect patients with donors—people from all backgrounds willing to help any patient in need—and facilitate life-saving transplants. And that’s why Robin joined forces with Be The Match to inform the public about the need for more donors.
