Performs pediatric transplants


The Hematopoietic Stem Cell (HSC) Transplant Program at CHLA was started in 1983. Since then, 2,000 HSC autologous and allogeneic related and unrelated transplants have been performed using bone marrow, PBSC and cord blood for lympho/hematopoietic diseases and solid tumors.

This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1983 and has been an NMDP transplant center since April 1989.
