About the center
Overview
The University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center is an NCI Designated Cancer Center. The Adult Stem Cell Transplant Program was founded in 1992 and is FACT accredited. The program provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients requiring autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants and immune effector cell therapies. This care is provided in an academic environment with inpatient and outpatient facilities optimized for the care of stem cell therapy recipients.
This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1994 and has been an NMDP/Be The Match transplant center since December 2001.

Other programs and services
Discounts with local hotels. Pre-transplant patients and their caregivers are required to attend one of our Zoom Meet and Greet Meetings which is offered monthly in English and Spanish. These meetings are run by a multidisciplinary team to provide information regarding transplant and allow future patients to meet some of our former patients.
