Every year, over 12,000 people are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers or other diseases like sickle cell for which a blood stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor may be their only hope for a cure.

Answer a few questions about your medical history to ensure you meet our medical guidelines.
Swab
In 1–2 weeks, you’ll receive a swab kit in the mail. Swab your cheeks and return your kit. You are now added to the NMDP Registry!
Match
Your swab kit helps determine your HLA type to match you to a patient in need. It may take months or even years to match.
Donate
You could be the one match for a patient with a life-threatening blood cancer or disease like sickle cell! Saying “yes” when you get the call to become a blood stem cell donor gives someone a second chance at life.
