Avery’s fight started almost immediately after she was born. At two months old, this Texas native was diagnosed with pre-B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. As devastating as this news was, Avery showed strength, courage and a ridiculous amount of resiliency to fight this disease.
Initial chemo and other treatments were promising but, unfortunately, didn’t cure her of her disease.
However, there was hope. A few months after her second relapse, Avery’s family received notice that Be The Match® had found a marrow donor for Avery. It was through the selflessness of this donor that Avery is now on the road to living a life full of hopes, dreams and possibilities.
