Overview
The adult program is one of the leading centers for transplantation of patients with testicular/germ cell tumors. Clinical interests include immunotherapy and use of novel agents for treating patients with lymphoma and multiple myeloma. Research interests include haploidentical transplantation, adult cord blood transplantation, enhancement of post-transplant immune function, and graft vs host disease prevention and treatment. The pediatric program is the only stem cell transplant program in Indiana for children. Children treated include those with leukemia, solid tumors, immundeficiencies, sickle cell disease, other non-malignant conditions and rare genetic disorders. Research interests include graft vs. host disease and use of mesenchymal stromal cells for Fanconi Anemia. The Adult and Pediatric Programs are the first in Indiana to be certified to administer commercial CART-cell Therapy.This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1985 and has been an NMDP transplant center since January 1988.
