About the center
UMMMC is a large teaching hospital in Central Massachusetts. Our FACT-accredited BMT program is comprehensive, offering the latest technologies including adult cord blood transplants. We have 8 in-patient beds and 1 out-patient bed in the HEPA-filtered BMT unit and provide experienced, dedicated multidisciplinary care. We strive to find a match of all of our patients. We offer matched and mismatched related and unrelated donor, including cord blood, transplants for our patients. The program has expertise in stem cell transplantation for the elderly. Our Program began offering CAR-T Immunotherapy to our patients in the Spring of 2022.
This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1994 and has been an NMDP/Be The Match transplant center since December 1997.

Transplants by disease
Number of transplants by age reported from January 1, 2020 to December 31st, 2021 (includes marrow, PBSC and cord blood)
Treatments may be similar for diseases within a group. It might be helpful to look at centers that have done transplants for a specific disease and centers that have done transplants for any corresponding broad disease categories.
Centers are not required to report autologous transplants so the numbers might be incomplete.
