Thank you for your interest in joining NMDP Registry, the most diverse marrow registry in the world. Nearly one million American military and Department of Defense (DoD)-affiliated individuals have already registered to offer hope to patients affected by leukemia or other disorders requiring transplant.

The C.W. Bill Young / Department of Defense Marrow Donor Program – also known as Salute to Life – provides benefits and accommodations for service members, not just during registration but throughout the donation process. The Salute to Life program offers a special registration point for active duty U.S. military personnel and their dependents, Reservists, National Guard and Coast Guard, military retirees, and DoD civilian personnel.

Visit one of the walk-in registration sites already available on bases and installations across the country and around the world – or check to see if a temporary recruitment drive is occurring in your area. Don’t live near an installation? Request a kit and one will be mailed to you.

If you previously joined NMDP, you do not need to re-register with Salute to Life.

If you match a patient, military personnel are transferred over to the Salute to Life program where you will receive assistance in navigating Command authorization, requesting no-cost TAD/TDY, and making travel arrangements from your duty location.
