My name is Jehvan.

You could save my life.

Are you Jehvan's match?

This past year has been tough for anyone entering high school. For 14-year-old Jehvan, it has been especially difficult. Jehvan is a kind and gentle soul. He spends much of his time reading and playing video games, and one day hopes to become a game developer. But for the time being, Jehvan has been preoccupied by his battle with leukemia. Recently his condition has escalated, and he now needs a donor to save his life.

Currently, Jehvan does not have a donor match on the Be The Match Registry®. He is African American and when it comes to matching patients with donors, DNA plays a key role. Jehvan is most likely to match someone with a similar ethnic background.

Thousands of blood cancer and blood disease patients like Jehvan need your help. You could be the one to save his life—you could be his cure.

About Be The Match®

For people with life-threatening blood cancers—like leukemia and lymphoma—or other diseases, a cure exists. Be The Match connects patients with their donor match for a life-saving marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant. People can contribute to the cure as a member of the Be The Match Registry®, financial contributor or volunteer. Be The Match provides patients and their families one-on-one support, education, and guidance before, during and after transplant. Be The Match is operated by the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP), a nonprofit organization that matches patients with donors, educates health care professionals and conducts research through its research program, CIBMTR® (Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research®), so more lives can be saved. To learn more about the cure, visit BeTheMatch.org or call 1 (800) MARROW-2.
