Meet Dakhiyon

At just 7 years old, Dakhiyon—or “King Khi” as his family calls him—is battling sickle cell disease and has developed serious complications, including Moya Moya syndrome. This complication blocks key arteries to his brain.

Dakhiyon is no stranger to the doctor. He has to have chronic transfusions every three weeks to stay as healthy as possible. These frequent transfusions have put a strain on his veins. That’s why his family has decided to search for a matching donor who can provide the potential cure—a blood or marrow transplant.
