Are you Ailani's match?
Are you Ailani's match?
Ailani is 4 years old. Her name means ‘high chief’ and her family is inspired by her strength and courage. Ailani is currently hospitalized while battling an aggressive form of leukemia.
A blood stem cell donation from an unrelated donor could be her cure.
Unfortunately, Ailani doesn’t have a perfect match in her family or on the Be The Match Registry®. COVID-19 has made it harder for Be The Match to recruit young, healthy donors with many college campuses closed and fairs and events cancelled. We need more diverse donors to join the registry. Ailani is multiracial and her donor will likely share her diversity.
Thousands of patients battling blood cancer are searching for their perfect match. You could literally be their cure by joining the Be The Match Registry. Let’s give patients like Ailani a future.
You can save a life.
With a few simple steps, you're on your way to making a big difference.
About Be The Match®
For people with life-threatening blood cancers—like leukemia and lymphoma—or other diseases, a cure exists. Be The Match connects patients with their donor match for a life-saving marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant. People can contribute to the cure as a member of the Be The Match Registry®, financial contributor or volunteer. Be The Match provides patients and their families one-on-one support, education, and guidance before, during and after transplant. Be The Match is operated by the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP), a nonprofit organization that matches patients with donors, educates health care professionals and conducts research through its research program, CIBMTR® (Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research®), so more lives can be saved. To learn more about the cure, visit BeTheMatch.org or call 1 (800) MARROW-2.
