About the center
Overview
The BMT Program started in 1983 with autologous transplants. It expanded in 1999 with related allogeneic, matched unrelated in 2001, and cords in 2007. Received FACT accreditation in 2001 and has been re-accredited in 2004, 2007,2010, 2013,2016, and 2019. In 2011, program expanded to include patients with HIV. Involved in radioimmunotherapy and tumor immunotherapy research. Has developed translational laboratory pre-clinical models for cancer vaccines, CAR T cells, novel combinatorial strategies, targeted therapies for T cell lymphoma, thrombosis and cancer.
This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1999 and has been an NMDP/Be The Match transplant center since January 2002.
