Performs pediatric transplants

The Blood and Marrow Transplant Section has a dedicated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and other support staff. We perform over 40 allogeneic transplants for pediatric patients, yearly. We have a 16 bed Hepa filtered unit which includes a playroom. We utilize both unrelated cord blood and blood or bone marrow with special processing methods to reduce severe graft-versus-host disease.

This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1976 and has been an NMDP transplant center since February 1989.
