The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center is recognized throughout the Midwest and the nation as one of the leading innovators in cancer research, quality patient care and active community involvement. UW Carbone Cancer Center is the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin, as designated by the National Cancer Institute. The University of Wisconsin Blood and Marrow Transplant Program is accredited by the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). FACT accreditation ensures patients, medical professionals, health insurance companies and the government that our program exceeds standards in patient care and laboratory practices. We were among the first transplant centers worldwide to achieve accreditation in 1999. We are a multidisciplinary team of transplant professionals, working together toward the goal of providing the best possible outcomes for our patients by providing evidence-based, innovative, and compassionate care.

This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1981 and has been an NMDP/Be The Match transplant center since December 1990.

1. Patients who had their FIRST ALLOGENEIC transplant (cells from a related or unrelated donor/cord blood) during 2019, 2020, 2021, and
2. Who had their transplant at a U.S. transplant center, and
3. Who had follow-up information provided by the transplant center for analysis

The actual 1-year survival of these patients is 75.3%.

Compared to similar patients transplanted at all centers in the U.S., we expect that the 1-year survival for patients at this center to be in a range between 72.7% and 83.8%.
