Performs pediatric transplants


Akron Children's Hospital performs Autologous and Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplants for Pediatric patients. Patients treated with stem cell transplants include those with Sickle cell disease, Aplastic anemia, Beta Thalassemia, MDS, Osteopetrosis, Wilm's tumor, Ewings disease, recurrent Hodgkin's disease, recurrent and high risk ALL, AML, Neuroblastoma, other CNS malignancies, and inherited metabolic disorders.

This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 2004.
