Hawaii resident grateful to make a difference

My name is Courtney and I attended medical school at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. In the fall of 2010, I was given the greatest opportunity I could ever ask for. I was able to donate my bone marrow to a 4-year-old boy.

This was truly the most rewarding experience of my life and every day I am so thankful that I was a match for someone.

Signing up on the donor registry was the best decision I ever made and I am so grateful that I was able to make a difference in someone’s life.

More people like Courtney are needed to join the registry, so more patients can find their match. To join the registry visit my.bethematch.org/s/join.
