Overview

The adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy program at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a FACT-accredited program offering autologous and allogeneic transplants. With a mission focused on quality and comprehensive care, the program participates in clinical trials research sponsored by the BMT Clinical Trials Network and the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest University. Our experienced staff of dedicated healthcare providers offers both inpatient and outpatient transplants.

This center has been performing allogeneic transplants since 1990 and has been an NMDP/Be The Match transplant center since August 1993.

The Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program of the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center is a multidisciplinary adult program offering both autologous and allogeneic transplants. Each patient meets an assigned Transplant Nurse Coordinator at the time of consultation to help navigate the transplant journey. Comprehensive, personalized care is accomplished through our dedicated team of transplant physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), social workers, nutritionists, clinical practice pharmacists, recreational therapists and transplant-specific RNs. Discounted housing is available through the SECU Family house. A transplant orientation class is offered along with financial counseling and the support of a dedicated Cancer Patient Support Program.
