Scott Brock is a survivor of many things, but most importantly a survivor of three years of cancer. He has never once let this change his attitude or how he viewed life. Through his whole process he was smiling and laughing and would tell everyone that it was nothing just a little “stumble” in life. He was first diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma in 2017, and had his first stem cell transplant in 2018. After being in remission the cancer came back in his nervous system and then he proceed to get chemo and radiation, and then needed to find a matched unrelated donor through Be The Match Registry. We needed to find a 100% match that was a complete stranger and still is to us. My family and I are forever grateful to Be The Match and to this stranger that we hope to meet and thank one day.

Thanks to generous friends and family we raised more than $13,000 in 2020 - we hope to continue that fundraising through 2022! If you are able to support us, thank you!

By supporting Team Team ScottStrong, you will help more patients afford transplant, add potential blood stem cell donors to the Be The Match Registry® and fund our life-saving research. Together we have the potential to truly make a difference to thousands of men, women and children in need of a life-saving transplant.

This is how your gift to our foundation can help impact our life saving mission. · Helps patients overcome financial barriers to transplant (financial assistance program) · Grow the registry to create more matches · Supports and funds life-saving research . Donor financial assistance program (no out of pocket expenses)

Every 3 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer like Leukemia. For many of these and other patients with diseases like sickle cell anemia, a marrow transplant is the only life-saving treatment-their only chance for a cure. Yet most don’t have a matching marrow donor in their family.

Every year, more than 12,000 patients are diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers—like leukemia and lymphoma—or other diseases for which a blood stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor may be their best or only hope of a cure.

70% of all patients who need a transplant do not have a matched donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match Registry® to find an unrelated donor or cord blood unit.

Every 10 minutes, someone dies from a blood cancer. That’s more than six people each hour, or 148 people each day.

More than 70 diseases can be treated & cured by a matched unrelated donor transplant.

Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20.

They turn to Be The Match for the largest most diverse registry of potential blood stem cell donors and cord blood units in the world, offering one-on-one support, education and guidance before, during and after transplant. But first, a blood stem cell match must be found, and many patients still don’t have a donor.
