Under going hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation.
Ensure consistent coordination and continuity of care across all disciplines.
Establish a foundation of Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) that reflects Nemours commitment to quality. |

Estimated Search & Transplant Costs
The costs for a transplant vary greatly from center to center and depend
on factors such as health insurance, disease type and disease stage of
the patient, as well as center-specific billing policies. Examples of
costs in the search and transplant include:
- The amount and geographic location of donors tested
- Testing needed to confirm a match
- Processing and collecting of tissue-typing samples
- Donor workup testing needed
- Getting the marrow, PBSC or cord blood unit for transplant

Center-Specific Analysis
This analysis includes ONLY patients who received their FIRST ALLOGENEIC* transplant
between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2010 using unrelated or related donors, and
who had at least a 100-day follow-up.
- This center reported survival status data for 30 patients.
- The actual one-year survival of these patients is 70%.
- Based on a national average for patients like those transplanted at this center, 95% of the time the one-year survival is expected to be between 57% and 88% for patients at this center.
- This center's actual results are similar to the expected range for this center.
*Allogeneic means using cells from a person other than the patient.
