The NMDP and Be The Match named top 100 Workplaces in Minnesota for the third year in a row

The National Marrow Donor Program^® (NMDP), also publicly known as Be The Match^®, is one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Minnesota for the third year in a row, based on results from the Star Tribune’s annual employee survey. The NMDP and Be The Match was ranked No. 29 on the list of large companies, those employing 500 or more.

The NMDP and Be The Match is the global leader in providing a cure to patients with life-threatening blood and marrow cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma, as well as other diseases. Over the past 26 years, the nonprofit organization has made more than 55,000 transplants possible.

Chell, M.D., chief executive officer of the NMDP and Be The Match. “Our employees are relentless advocates for patients in need of transplants. Produced by the same team that compiles the 22-year-old Star Tribune 100 report of the best-performing public companies in Minnesota, Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions about organizational health, job expectations and employee engagement. Eighty three percent of NMDP and Be The Match Minnesota-based employees participated in the survey this year.

The rankings in the Star Tribune Top 100 Workplaces are based on survey information collected by WorkplaceDynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. The analysis included responses from over 64,300 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.

To qualify for the Star Tribune Top Workplaces, a company must have more than 50 employees in Minnesota. Nearly 1,900 companies were invited to participate. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely on the basis of employee responses.
