3M has a distinguished history as a recognized leader in supporting the life-saving work of Be The Match Foundation^®. Since 1992, 3M has made many financial contributions directed toward educating people about the need for marrow donation and encouraging them to join the registry. Through employee-run drives at 3M plants across the country, more than 1,258 employees have joined the registry, and four of those employees have been matched to patients and donated their marrow. 3M recently won the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce Quality of Life Award for their work with Be The Match Foundation.
